Headspace

It has been several years since the UK marketplace has had a big selling, Progressive rock band. Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, King Crimson and Led Zeppelin were the last comparables, not forgetting some of the earlier Black Sabbath works, each selling in excess of 30 million albums each throughout their careers to date. Headspace slot in a much needed gap between the classic riffs, songs and melodies of Zeppelin with the intricacies and innovative musicianship of Yes & Genesis. Current comparisons would be bands such as Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation and Porcupine tree. The band has steadily been picking up fans over the last couple of years, from both within the industry and from the general public. Headspace is a five piece band consisting of Adam Wakeman (Keyboards), Damian Wilson (Vocals), Pete Rinaldi (guitars). Lee Pomeroy (Bass) and Richard Brook (Drums) The band have been together for 3 years and their debut EP received great support from the likes of the Classic Rock magazine, Rock FM and some European and US progressive rock websites. The EP entitled “I am…” was a good introduction to the band and laid the foundations for their forthcoming ‘Concept’ album. Keyboard player Adam Wakeman and one fifth of Headspace is mostly known as the keyboard player in Ozzy Osbourne’s band since 2004. To test their first 4 track EP, Headspace supported Ozzy to great a reception at Wembley Arena, Birmingham NIA and Dublin’s The Point in the winter of 2007.
